Oh Dear, Gmail seem to have stopped responding once again, Firstly you always assume it’s just you or your poor ISP, or even the DNS. But this time is the Big G according to Twitter searches, as they say safety in numbers.

Hopefully this outage will not been as long the February outage but never the less still rather frustrating. But hey that is what you get from a free service sometime. But if you’re really desparate you can access your email via iGoogle.

Google status currently reports at 9:02pm: Google Mail service has already been restored for some users, and we expect a resolution for all users within the next 1.2 hours. Please note this time frame is an estimate and may change.

At 8:53 they had reported: We’re aware of a problem with Google Mail affecting a majority of users. The affected users are unable to access Google Mail. We will provide an update by September 1, 2009 9:53:00 PM UTC+1 detailing when we expect to resolve the problem. Please note that this resolution time is an estimate and may change.

Let’s all hope that the Gmail service becomes as stable as their search business; but i guess you get what you pay for.
